DJ CRAIG -AKA BUGSIE

PRINCIPAL DJ / MC / OWNER

I love music and how it encompasses every aspect in our lives from work to pleasure.  I began to actively incorporate interactive team building games and music for my corporate clients Microsoft, XBOX, Starbucks, Nintendo etc. which we still do today.  Next I turned my focus to weddings.   Planning, creating and putting into effect the perfect wedding is probably the most rewarding career choice one can make when you see the love in the room and the appreciation from the family and friends.  It is always an honor to be part of such an incredible day where two people start there journey together adding new members to there family and making dreams come true.

It’s the best feeling in the world doing something you love.

My favorite thing about a wedding is the ceremony is it reminds me every time of the vows I took on my wedding day.

In my free time I like to take trips with my family to Seaside, Oregon, and the Washington Peninsula.

Experience: 20+ years

I can say without a shred of doubt in my mind that music is the passion of my life. Whether it’s discovering a new song and knowing that people are going to love it, seeing a show live, or finding the perfect two songs to go together for dancing, I absolutely love what I do. With nearly 10 years under my belt at Bugsie Productions, I can honestly say that any job that comes after this one is going to seem dull by comparison.

Getting to see people constantly on one of the best days of their life is something not many people get to experience more than a few times – and I get to do it with every single wedding I do, and it’s never not magical. It’s never something that gets boring, and it’s never something I’ll take for granted. This day is about you, and it’s my job to make sure that people are having a good time.

If all you take from this bio is this, I will be stoked: Remember, it’s not just about the music you want at your wedding. It’s the personality of the DJ that’s going to be crucial to the flow of the evening. As a wedding couple, you need to find that DJ that has a personality that matches with your own, because the people at your wedding are the people you’ve surrounded yourself with your entire lives. They are extensions of yourselves, and being able to speak on the microphone, play music, and control the flow in a way that matches your personalities is the key to a truly amazing DJ experience.

I love, love, love, love what I do here. I’m thankful every single day that I joined an improv class ten years ago at Everett Community College, and found Craig. I’ve had some of the most fun of my life these last few years, and can’t wait to meet all of you that are getting married. I’d love to have a meeting to get to know you, and figure out exactly what you want to make your day both unique and as dang close to perfect as can be.

In my free time, I voice act, listen to audio books, watch a lot of anime, play way too many video games, and try to make it to as many music festivals as I can. I hope to see you soon!

PRINCIPAL DJ & MC

Though my experience at Bugsie Productions, I sure have loved getting in touch with music like never before. To say I love what I do is a complete understatement. It has taught me to appreciate the art of music and find joy in the precious moments in one’s life. So take a breathe and smell the roses once in awhile.

With my time at Bugsie Productions, I’ve spent observing both Craig and Shawn DJ, acting as their assistant. Watching them has taught me to be effortlessly confident within myself, from mixing two individual songs together to talking on a mic in front of hundreds of people. DJs are supposed to make sure your wedding day, corporate event, or party flow smoothly and uphold a certain spirit. As Google has informed me, there are only a hand full of female DJs. With that, I want to really make something of myself in this realm of work.

At 16 years old I took the bull by the horns and was eager to jump into a line of work. While holding down many different jobs, trying to be a self employed queen, I landed this gig and it finally stuck. I found myself loving seeing people love one another and accept one another for whomever they are. I found my calling. Flash forward 2 years to now, both Craig and Shawn have seen me push through difficult times to show up to an event and leave with a smile on my face. They are pushing me out of the nest and letting me fly free.  With that being said, I do not and will not take this opportunity lightly. I will do my absolute best to create a magical atmosphere, while bringing much joy to it.

In my free time, I am often seen hanging out with my friends, going on mini road trips with my boyfriend, rollerskating at skateparks and rinks across the the Puget Sound, as well as coloring at a park!

PRINCIPAL DJ & MC

I only started my DJ journey 9 years ago after finally using a turntable with the cross fader reversed. Everything changed in that moment. All of sudden everything made sense and my obsession began. If I only would have tried a mixer with the cross fader reversed, twenty years ago, I would have started then.

After a life long obsession with music and hip hop culture, I have acquired a broad knowledge of music and music history from many genres.  I am also a drummer. I have been part of a non profit organization, for over a decade, that is focused on community service, through music and hip hop culture, called 206 Zulu.  Through this organization I have been mentored by some amazing DJs, that can trace their lineage all the way back to the original DJs. All of this has led me to excelling as a DJ in a short amount of time.

I have experience, in deejaying and hosting weddings, corporate events, private and public parties, hip hop and reggae shows as the house DJ. Some of the highlights have been an Afroman show, the 10th and 11th annual Beatmasters competition, on Pier 62 on the downtown Seattle waterfront as well playing for the community in Cal Anderson park. All these varied events have helped me gain experience and knowledge in almost every, genre of music. I am currently setting up the studio in my new house and I am excited to take on some students, to teach deejaying and music production. This is very important to me because I feel I must give back to something that has given me so much! I have worked hard in a short amount of time, to become the best DJ, I can be and continue to strive for perfection. I take this very seriously and attack each booking, like a music puzzle, that I can’t wait to solve.
